I have made a patch that generates drones. Lets call this generative. . . I use feedback on my spring reverb. I only use one filter. The drone is structured by a triangle lfo and 2 comparators. It's tricky to balance the patch to give varying and interesting results. The drone is made with a 100% analog modular synth.

Sunday modular beat. How strange can you go. . .

Shortwave wide-band digital emission recorded on july 15, 2014 at 15:17 utc in am mode using 2 instances of the online remote controllable short-wave receiver located at the amateur radio club etgd at the university of twente the netherlands. Left channel was recorded below the central frequency, at a frequency of 10187khz, right channel was recorded above the central frequency, at 10191khz. This was an experiment to see if selective fading would create stereo effects, as the lower frequency part of the transmission would be heard better in the left channel, and the higher frequency component would be heard better on the right. I used goldwave to put the separate recordings into 2 channels of the same file, after i synched the recordings by ear at 1/16 playback speed using a set of 2 particularly strong lightning static crashes as a guide, trimming off everything that came before the first strike in both original recordings, then inserting silence in the range of a few milliseconds until the stereo separation was as close to zero as i could get it. I wasn't as successful at that as i've been with experiments with voice recordings from simultaneous broadcasts on 2 wavelengths that i haven't posted here.

This is a synthesized power line hum sound of 50 hz. Made with video games or movies in mind. Synthesized using zynaddsubfx and lmms.

Had a patch. Changed speed, attack and delay time. Got this. A bubbly noisy landscape. At the end i dissconect the "main lfo". The one thats makes things advance. But beyond that i get sounds.

Diy gate connector techno. My home made gate connector is fun to use for more then modular gate signals. Here we have a beat-ish in stereo. I use the gate connector as a poor mans stereo mixer. The sound is straight out from the modular.

Sloth (lfo) to vclfo is the "engine". Anyway here in using a feedback loop on the quadra envelope generatorstrange effect with long pausesi use quantizer on thisnoise from jupiter storm. Evaluation of patch/soundone cycle is - about 17 sec - goodonly short sounds - no and yes, good this timeamplitude variation - yep goodpitch variation - yep, enough, goodtimbre variation - could say somusical value - i should consider this musicalentertaining - hmm. . . Interesting.

But still i have the clicks :-/have to work on that. It becomes clear when i record with audacity and can actually see the attack and decay. I’m playing with alm pip slope. With this module you can cv control the attack and decay. As oscillator i use intellijel μvcf in self-oscillation mode. I fm-modulate this filter/oscillator with a tone from uoki-toki polivoks vcf. The semi random trigger is really two triggers connected to an or gate. Pitch is from analogue systems rs-40 (sample/hold and noise). I can listen to this for a looong time. Retro sound.

Cosmic interference. Glitch noise like a distorted futuristic signal between sent two starships on opposite sides of the galaxy.

It's a record sound of water. The tempo was speed up and the pitch increased. To finish, the sound was mixed to realise an electric effect.

I mixed four sound which are:sound 1: a girl's laughsound2: a phrase which is 'j'ai manger des chips"sound 3: a sound copyright freesound 4: a woman voice which is talkingeach sound is play in loopand i used the rewind for the second part after the introduction.

This piece is controlled by attenuated noise. It has a pulse. Slow, but a pulse. Natural start and end. No editing.

One more recording today. Using chaos! yep! this time the logistic equation. But my r is constant.
